Plugins extend and enhance the functionality of Openfire. To install plugins, copy the .jar file into the plugins directory of your Openfire installation.

MUC Service Discovery Extensions Plugin Readme

Description

This plugin adds functionality to Openfire that allows an administrator to add custom extensions to the response to Service Discovery requests made at Multi-User Chat rooms.

Installation

Copy mucextinfo.jar into the plugins directory of your Openfire installation. The plugin will then be automatically deployed. To upgrade to a new version, copy the new mucextinfo.jar file over the existing file.

Configuration

When the plugin is installed, a new page will appear on the admin console. It can be found on the "Group Chat" tab, in the "Room Administration" menu. After selecting a room, The "Room Options" menu item will expand with various configuration pages for the room. This plugin adds a page to that section, named "Service Discovery Ext." Use this page to manage to add custom information to the response on Service Discover requests for MUC rooms.
