The auto-update feature of Spark needs to be changed to check once per week for updates instead of on each login. The update feature should check using this algorithm: 1) If no last update check is recorded, use the install date as the last update check date 2) On login, if at least 1 week has elapsed check for the update 3) If the update was checked for, record the current date as the last update check date
