Add a daily (configurable through the admin console) process that will remove the accounts that have not been used for a long while (configurable through the admin console). The clean-up process may also be executed ad-hoc from the admin console.

Maybe just disablin and not only removing. And as in ~~JM-160~~ a possibility just to hide account only. This will remove it from the roster until that user login again.

if one use ldap authentication, WF cannot remove the account from the user database but however WF can (need to) remove user who is not in ldap anymore but in the WF groups contact list
