SIP/SIMPLE support has been requested. The following library was suggested:

We have been using the MjSIP Stack. MjSip is a complete java-based implementation of a SIP stack (including SIMPLE)

It provides in the same time the API and implementation bound together into the MjSip packages. MjSip is available open source under the terms of the GNU GPL license (General Public Licence) as published by the Free Software Foundation.

Thanks to the work of Ravin Dimantha and Patrick Siu, this support has a great start! Simple functionality is implemented like IMs and such.

Just wanted to throw out a quick update on this front.

Things have been worked out and the SIP/SIMPLE transport should be returning as soon as I have some time to work it back into trunk!

Licensing issues worked out. Code tested and merged into trunk.
