Where are the logs of the Recent Conversation History located?

Spark with OpenFire is used on our site.

I would like to know regarding a location of the conversation logs.

Spark has a function to browse a Recent History for messages.

Please let me know where the message logs are recorded.

On the OpenFire side, or on the Spark side ?

The logs are housed in each user’s spark folder in their profile on their computer.

edit:

Unless you install a plugin (monitoring plugin), there is no easy way to log and read the chats via the server.

If you are interested in viewing conversation history you could download the monitoring plugin.

It is a great tool!

HTH.

Thanks a million!!

I can find them on local user profiles.

Thanks !

I will consider the archive function to be used.

Do NOT use the archive function if you are using the embedded database. The file will rapidly become large and is difficult to edit to remove old archives.

Hi Todd,

Thank you for your advice regarding the archive function.

Yes ! We are using the embedded database as you mentioned.

The function won’t be used.

Hi,

Thanks for suggesting the monitoring plugin in for openfire to store all conversations. Currently I am developing a Spark plugin, do you think it is possible to access the contents ie. the chat conversations stored in Openfire programatically, since I need to access each chat conversation?
