This topic was discussed a long time ago here http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/message/100378#100378 and the issue http://www.igniterealtime.org/issues/browse/JM-335 was created but is not resolved yet. Unfortunately the thread is already archived so I’ve started the new discussion.
I’ve made a patch to this issue for Openfire 3.6.4. Is it possible to include it into trunk?
