I tried to install spark on windows 98 but after unpacking its intsllation files, nothing is happening. Is there a way to make spark work on windows 98? (yes, i know windows 98 is already very outdated, but i have no choice, some of the computers the company im working for are still using windows 98)
You can use the Spark’s current version, today (spark258), Online versionhttp://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/download-landing.jsp?file=spark/online/s park_2_5_8_online.exe
Install java JRE First.
Unnistall the anothers java versions (newer than 5u16), let just JRE 5u16 run in your windows 98 O.S.No use java’s versions newer than 5u16.
After that, Install Spark online version normally
All features run like Win XP.
Disable Java Update.
Edit Registry
Run regedit
HKEYLOCALMACHINE --> Software --> Javasoft --> Java Update --> Policy --> EnableJavaUpdate (change this value to 0)

Wrong forum. Please ask your question in the Spark forum in a new thread. Reviving old threads is usually not a good idea, anyhow you may want to mention that you did try “search” fisrt, without success.
