What is the function of table ofRRDs?

Hi,

I found there is a huge number of database update on table ofRRDs (UPDATE ofRRDs SET bytes = _binary’…’), what is this for? Is this a must to openfire running?

Hi,

you are running Enterprise´ orMonitoring´ and those plugins update their data (#users, #messages, …) every minute in the database. As it’s RRD (round robin database, see http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/) data always the whole RRD database is written, from my point of view it’s a very bad design. There’s currently no way to use the file system for RRD data so you need to live with these updates or you need to remove the plugin which is causing this.

Thanks, it seems i need to turn the monitoring off, or running it is a larger disk with proper bin log rotation/removal…
