Remote database setup (different host)

Durring setup, i need to setup a database, is it possible to setup openfire to use a database on a different host and how? right now i like to setup something like:

10.0.0.11 (application server)

10.0.0.12 (database server)

I currently have a couple of apps on the servers, but the database server can handle alot more, and I would be able to manage only one database server, no need for multiple database servers on the network, just one for every database I have on the network system.

BTW... its less than 20 users on the whole network.

thanks,

Rodrigo

Re: Remote database setup (different host)
Hi Rodrigo,

your database can run on any remote host. During setup you need to specify the connection details for JDBC and you only need to enter a remote host there.
