user mapping (step 2 of 3)

 

I was able to pass step 1 (connect to my AD server). The next failed.

 

 

in the username field i have ou=xyz(name of my company),ou-Accounts,ou=sales,cn-john doe

 

 

 

 

When i hit the test button it come back with this error

 

 

 

 

No users were found using the specified configuration. Try changing the base

DN, user filter or username field.

 

 

 

 

how can i fix this?

You do not need to change the default settings (sAMAccountName)  for the install of AD here unless you want to use a filter.  Mostly because the mappings are not right anyway.  They are incomplete.  You would want to enable avatar support.  I have attached my openfire.xml file that show the edits I made to mak the vCard work correctly with AD and a screenshot of the step 2 window.  You probaly do not need to change anything on step 3 either.
