Spark clients not able to load buddy lists

we’re having an issue where our spark clients will attempt to authenticate for about 30 seconds and then “connect” but only show two groups: untitled and offline. when we look at the openfire server sessions list, we see the clients as authenticated and online, but of course the show no one in their buddy lists and they can’t send or receive messages.

the only fix we’ve found so far is to restart the openfire service. does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this issue or a more long-term resolution?

What version of Openfire and Spark are you using?

This is exactly the same as my issue discussed here: http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/message/159201#159201

I too found that the “sessions” list in the console showed the users as online, but the group membership list showed they were not. These sames users couldn’t see any buddies on their roster. A restart of openfire cleared it up.

I’m running openfire 3.3.2 and Spark 2.5.7.

we’re using openfire 3.3.3 and the spark clients vary from 2.5.1 to 2.5.7.
