I''d like to start by saying: I''m a complete newbie at wildfire and jabber servers in general, so if this is a stupid question, that''s why.
I installed the webchat plugin on the server and found the little unlabeled tab that directs me to it, and when I click on the tab and go to webchat''s index, I find this:
Chat Demo Mode
To test a workgroup request, click on the following icon(s):
Immediately below which there is nothing. I''ve checked user settings, group settings, room settings, session settings...etc. to no avail.
What am I not doing here?
Is it that it requires fastpath? It doesn''t look like it does...If so, then that''s my question instead.
Hi flux,
may I ask which webchat plugin you did find? I''m not aware of one - there''s one which is delivered with the forum but that''s in my honest opinion a very bad one.

The webchat I installed was a plugin under the "Available Plugins" section of the Plugins tab on the Wildfire Administrator Console.
When it was installed a little tab, also in the console, with no text label directed me to the webchat. Is there something I have to do to some file in the webchat plugin folder...?
It sounds like you are refering to the FastPath Webchat plugin...
This is a commercial plugin that is used in conjunction with the FastPath Plugin (or Wildfire Enterprise)
So yeh... If you don''t have either FastPath or Wildfire Enterprise running that demo Webchat will not work.

That''s what I wanted to know, thanks.
Also, does the Spark client require Spark fastpath? It seems like it does but I just want to be certain.
When you install the FastPath plugin on the Wildfire Server, the Plugin for Spark will automatically be pushed out to the Spark Client when they login (provided the user is in a FastPath Workgroup)
Jas
Thanks again.
