Logging chats

Hey.

Is there away to log chats that are going on. I would like a way to pull off my chat logs weekly or when needed, is there away to do this with the wildfire server?

Many Thanks

Chris.

Chris,

There are two options:

  1. Wildfire includes a simple XML logging feature that can write out all content generated on a daily basis.

  2. Wildfire Enterprise (our commercial extension to the Open Source edition) includes a comprehensive archiving feature. It has full searching, including by keywords. More info about Enterprise at http://www.jivesoftware.com/products/wildfire

Regards,

Matt

And these logs are hardly readable, and i dont what about know, but when i was trying them last time they were rewritten very quickly. There were only 10 logs and when 10th was filled it started to write to 1st again. And if traffic was very active so logs were rewritten fast. There were some improvements requested about date based logs rollut or something. But as i dont really need that feature i dont know what was done about that.

Another option:

Though maybe not such convinient.

I agree with Wroot. i-Ball Chat Auditor is not an official plug in but it works really well. I use it on my server it works really well. I have not tested it with 3.0 yet it works great with 2.6.2

It appears that it doesn’'t work with wildfire 3.0
