MOTD Plugin

VERSION 1

Created on: Sep 24, 2007 4:30 PM by slushpupie - Last Modified:  Sep 24, 2007 4:32 PM by slushpupie

This is a simple plugin that sends a message to a user as soon as the user logs in. There is no configuration interface for this plugin, just install it and modify a few properties on the Openfire Console. Editable properties include:

  • plugin.motd.skipUsers : A comma seperated list of users not to send the motd to

  • plugin.motd.subject : The subject used when sending the motd. On some clients this will not be seen.

  • plugin.motd.message : The message body of the motd.

This plugin was written with legal warnings in mind.

Hi,

any idea why motd is not working on a freshly installed 3.3.2 (running on a embedded DB). Offline messages are working, but no motd is showing after a login.

Thanks

Walter

Not really.  I havnt used this plugin for a long time, so it has not been tested on modern versions.  Ill take a peek at it later this week.
