[...] You may remember me asking for everyone’s help a few months back to vote for Openfire. We’re entered in the Enterprise Open Source Reader’s Choice Award in the “Best Open Source Product” category. The deadline for voting is May 31, which is just one week away. If you haven’t already voted, please visit the site to cast your vote. Note that the voting process started before the rename of the server, which is why you’ll see the old Wildfire name.
[...] Wildfire has been selected as a finalist for this year’s CODiE awards in the Best Communications Solution category. We’ll find out on April 17 just how much the judges like the most cutting-edge Open Source communications server on the market. Going through the judging process for awards can be time consuming, but they’re a great validation for the project. Of course, don’t forget about the Open Source Reader’s Choice voting — we’re just nine votes away from first place! Tags: Wildfire Server, General [...]

Thanks to an awesome community turn out Wildfire has moved from 6th place to 2nd place going from 9 votes to 132 votes since Matt first posted. Wildfire needs just 20 more votes to pull into first place! Anyone other there who hasn't voted for Wildfire yet?

One more follow-up -- one community member made the good point that the voting process is fairly onerous in terms of the information you need to submit. However, it's a legit magazine and you have the option to opt-out from being contacted. So again, we appreciate your help!

Update: you guys rock so far. We're up to 46 votes and are now in third place. However, we're still going to need a storm of votes to make it into first. Keep them coming!
